Most of the surface is covered by rocks dating to the Variscan orogeny, the coastal ranges dominated by Mesozoic structures and Mesocenozoic basins covering partially the mainland. The obtained tomograms present a good correlation with the surface geology, in general with higher Vp velocities in the north, and lower Vp velocities in the south. The heterogeneity observed on the surface geology of the Galicia-Tras-os-Montes Zone is well marked, being a relatively thin layer over the smoother structure of the Centro Iberia Zone CIZ.

Well our family was one of three newbies on this trip and I, pleased to say it will be the first of many. My 7 year old has told me he feels like a grown up getting to eat with the older kids who have been brilliant with him. He was never made to feel too little to join in. The hotel is fantastic and amazing resort and I may even return one day. Finally a big thank you to our coordinator Sarah and her some Alex who have gone out of their way to ensure everyone feels welcome.
The 2 years in between our holidays has not dimmed the friendships Harvey and I made last time — we now have a new set of fabulous people to call friends. The mixture of ages and boys and girls has been perfect, with the little uns, pre-teens and teens all enjoying their company and happily mixing — especially on the tennis courts every evening, away from prying eyes! Sarah has been the perfect host for all of us this holiday — great communicator and totally unfazed at whatever has been thrown her way.
This is, sadly, our last day — and normality returns tomorrow — but the memories will last — as will the photographic evidence he he he!! Greg and Rhiannon have made nice friends and left daddy in the evening with the SWK around! Sarah has done a grand job at organising us all and dealing with any problems. We have had a fantastic holiday, not only with our existing friends but with the many new friends we have made.
The highlight of our holiday has to be Joe swimming with dolphins… definitely an amazing experience for the memory bank.
